Exactly. Courier services in India are just rubxxh. Don’t deliver to homes. Have to pickup the item from their office, inspite of having to call them day-after-day. I’m fedup with all the courier services. Bluedart, Fedex all are the same here in Guwahati, Assam. Only DTDC is good (but, the reason might be that they have an office myparceldelivery near my home).

When I was doing my engineering from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Bidar (small town in Karnataka, despatch 140km from Hyderabad), despatch DTDC was the only good courier service which was available there at that time and so my association with them is for quite a long time and overall satisfactory. This courier service has grown very well with time and now they are a force to reckon with in this industry. Recently they categorized their services like DTDC Blue, DTDC Plus, etc. With DTDC Plus, they are trying to compete with Blue Dart, which offers premium service with guaranteed faster and timely deliver.  Though Blue Dart also cant always be perfect, but mostly they deliver what is promised and if they don't, at least they are very quick to answer customer's queries and try to solve the issue then and there itself. But massive growth over the years have made DTDC guys complacent and unprofessional. If you have an issue, write a mail to their zonal office or head office in Bangalore, despatch they hardly bother to reply and even if they do, it wont solve the purpose. It will be irrelevant and a generalized answer. With the launch of DTDC Plus, their premium service, they promise faster delivery. But due to that and to promote the same, they have started delaying despatch the delivery of the courier if its through their normal service. This is to compel the customer to pay almost the double amount despatch for the same service, which they used to give mostly for half the amount. For example, if I send a courier from Jammu to Noida, it reaches DTDC's Delhi office at around 12pm and to Noida office by 4pm. At times they used to deliver the courier in Noida by 6pm but now a days, they have started delaying it and delivering it the next day. If we ask for probability of being delivered the next day, their staff in Jammu office now straight-away denies that. My friend sent me a bundle of books from Delhi on 2nd July 2012. It weighed 6.5 Kg and she had to pay Rs.900 to DTDC. I waited for 3 days for the courier to reach from Delhi to Jammu and on the 4th day afternoon i.e., on 6th July 2012, I went to their office to ask for and pick my courier. Only one elderly person Mr. Dogra is the reliable person in their office, who coordinates everything and keeps the things going. I always find him on his toes and most of the others are in a very relaxed despatch poses though office has almost 4-5 employees apart from Mr. Dogra. Today when I went there, unfortunately I couldnt find him there. When I asked for my courier, one guy was asking other to find, who inturn tried his best to depute the third. One of them finally tried to search for my parcel in their shelves and told me that it hasnt reached Jammu. Since repair work was going on, power was put off. When I insisted, they asked the electrician to put on a connection so that one PC could be put on and they could check the status of my parcel. One guy put on the PC and without entering the password, he went and sat for lunch and 2 others were still telling me that PC cant be turned on. When i took them other way round the table, despatch then the guys started struggling to enter the correct password. After all this drama, I was finally told that courier had arrived 2 days back i.e., on 4th July 2012. Then for next 15 mins they started searching every nook and corner of the office, even the big poly-bags which looked as if dumped from ages. Inbetween someone said that check if the delivery guy has taken it today for delivery. Others guaranteed that it was not possible, he didnt take any. I asked them to call that guy but nobody did. After waiting for another 5 minutes I had to raise my voice and ask for that guy's mobile number. When I called him, he confirmed that the parcel was with him and he was at a location which was on way to my home from DTDC office.   Finally I asked him to wait at a point and collected my parcel from him. Before going to their office, I had mailed about the delay to DTDC's Delhi Zonal Office and Bangalore office, but didnt get any reply till now. They are surviving because in the country of blind, one eyed man is the king. There are few reputed companies in this industry and courier/parcel volumes are enormous. With the growth of business over the years, they have become complacent and that shows at every level of their hierarchy.

Shipment No. E70987285. This was shipped through Prime Time Plus 12pm Service on 10th October 2013 from Bangalore to Ahmedabad. I Paid Rs.260 because I wanted guaranteed delivery by 11th October afternoon. I sent a charger which had its last day of warranty. The shipment was delivered on 12th October. Now my charger warranty is void and I have to bare the expenses of repair because of late delivery by DTDC. First, the guarantee and promise was broken. Second, the lady working at ITPL branch in Bangalore antron express (08041156403) is saying that my entire amount will not be refunded. Normal delivery charges of Rs.105 plus service taxes will be cut and the rest will be refunded. The delivery to me now stands of no use! DTDC broke its PTP guarantee and promise and I have to bare extra expenses on repairing my adapter. I want entire money to be refunded!! DTDC is the worsr service ever! Their website tracking does not function antron express properly. The feedback, customer service, and contact us links do not work! Most of the numbers you call, either they dont pickup or it gets disconnected when transferring to customer care executive. No DTDC branch has any contact details of any other branch in the same city! It is the worst mistake antron express to use DTDC courier. I should actually be paid over this amount! They should bare the charges antron express of repairing the charger! I am at a loss of over Rs.600 because of DTDC now! I hate DTDC services! antron express I need entire refund, entire!! Call on +918951264911 to discuss any further.

My friend just sent me something from Pune to Gurgaon, via DTDC plus and guess what, I only got the box. The watch inside was nowhere to be found. I now have a Fossil Watch Box worth 105USD And to add to it, I am trying to call these DTDC guys in Delhi, Gurgaon, Pune. No one bothers to pick the phone. I am royally pissed off. Has anyone gone through a similar situation ? Also what do you guys suggest me to do now ? I just cant seem to find a way. Right now writing a complaint note at CORE.NIC.IN

Damn, I think your friend should've added a declaration letter and kept a copy with himself. DTDC is quite well known for thefts. Even the DTDC guy himself told me once when I was sending a slightly expensive item by courier and he advised me against doing so

relax. dtdc customer care talk to the dtdc people( don't talk to the nOObs, try to get to a manager and tell him what you are planning to do. if they are not ready to budge. write to CORE. atleast you will get the declared amount + compensation+the shipment costs.

Drop in at your nearest DTDC office with the tracking number of the package. Give them a subtle threat..believe me, it makes them get to work. This ***** big time for you though. You should've dtdc customer care opened the package in front of the delivery guy. That's what I do. That way, you can refuse to accept the package at all if there are signs of tampering or physical damage.

Hello, This is to bring your notice that, I, Saumya choudhury, one of the customers of DTDC is highly unsatisfied with the service of DTDC. I have sent all my house hold things (125 kg) on 30th august from Kolkata (Tobin road branch) to Pune (Balewadi-Sapphire Park) . I was told that i will get all the items by 4th September or latest by 6th September. My consignment blue dart tracking india no is: D03748223 On saturday (dated 4tth september), i received a call from someone from DTDC and according to him, I need to give him an extra charge of near about Rs.4000/- . We had no idea about this charge and told that person to wait until we get the proper info from DTDC. After confirming I informed the contact person blue dart tracking india as well as the customer care personnel to send the consignment on the same date that is on 4th september or by 6th of september; blue dart tracking india as these things are very urgent. Till the date I didn't receive any of my parcels. I did call in the customer care no# repeatedly blue dart tracking india and they declined to take any complaint. Somehow on 7th september morning hours i managed to lodge a complaint in Pune apex centre (contact no# 020 - 30512000/28/29/31, the customer care personnel - Shaili). Complaint no#: 662076 Again i had to make a call on 8th of september in the morning hours and aft a long conversation, the same cc personnel Shaili told me, the parcel (125kg)will be at my place by today that is 8th of september and the charge blue dart tracking india (which had to give in the check post) will be Rs.1714/-..( Please note, i was informed blue dart tracking india on 4th sep.. the amount blue dart tracking india is Rs.4000/- and after repeated complaint and asking for a receipt, the amount became Rs.1714/- ). Again i had to make the call to the same no. that is 020-30512028 at 5pm on 8th september, as i didn't receive the parcels till that time and after a tremendous harrasment i was told by the same person Shaili , they could not arrange the car and it will take more time. I am shocked with the service and unprofessional attitude of the DTDC. How can DTDC claim to be an outstanding courier service over two decades?? I like to bring this to your notice... for the unnecessary delay from your end, should i be compensate? I just shifted to pune and all my kitchen stuff and all house hold thing, including clothings are in those parcels. I am in great problem without those things, especially when i have a 3yrs old kid. Looking forth to get a positive reply with the hope of getting my stuff back at the earliest.

Its a breach of company s confidentiality, it is something close to fraud, if the same company like this starts doing their own business like this starting eCommerce and has access to all this data and information about who buys what, i don’t believe that is how it works and i think that has to be cautious, as then this eCommerce company will leverage the data that they gather when they do logistics for other companies. When a eCommerce company signs a logistics partner there is a level of confidentiality that is signed that you don’t do. And if they are doing it then its breach of contract. I won’t think of outsourcing my business logistics to a direct competitor.
We hope they maintain their entity of both the businesses separately, both logistics and eCommerce, but we never know, as if parent group is the same then they could access these information which would be a big challenge to companies to do business choose these companies logistics partner, i think the first thing we should do is we should avoid using them that’s one thing and find alternatives against DTDC. Threat is always there and only way to overcome this is not to use these companies. There is two perspective, firstly eCommerce company has to avoid the working on these companies, if they are using them as logistics company and find a alternate professional couriers partner, the other thing is for a consumer to buy a company which is a logistics, that also a question how will consumer look at that brand, what will make them to buy product from DTDC or any logistic company. Because if the logistics company haven’t served the consumer at best of the expectations, that may in fact impact the commerce business, that’s the area to thought about as how will consumer look into that brand?

Please all be aware that the ARAMEX agent for GOA is not reliable. I have myself been waiting 2 weeks for 2 parcels from eBay sellers, only to find they have used ARAMEX.. so the parcels have not been delivered. Please do not use ARAMEX courier company for GOA customers. As your buyer will not receive the parcel within eBays time limits and your payment will be refunded courier company to the buyer. I have called the Aramex contact in Delhi and on 3rd attempt courier company was given the GOA contact details (0832-6451116), the agent informed me they had no service for my area and had sent parcel to wrong address. If indoubt, please use INDIA POST/SPEED POST OR DTDC as I have had great experience with them both. I ship internationally everyday with INDIA POST. Do not use ARAMEX for GOA orders....thanks

I found the Goa office today in Mercer village (big sign, small shop). 3KG of NH17 outside Panjim. They had no answers as to why they never called me in 11 days - when my phone number was clearly there on parcels. They said my area was a NO Service area...they cover Mapusa and Calangute, courier company but not the road linking the two...My road!!! They told me they were just about to send the parcels back to Delhi..easier to call me surely? There is nothing wrong with India Speed Post guys...I use it every day and have had very few problems within India or shipping International. Lets campaign for eBay to get us discounts and pick up from India Post. eBay International sites have link ups with the national post office, why cant we?
Anyone with Good and bad experiences from Couriers..Please courier company write a review and post it on. It may help and stop some good sellers from receiving Negative Feedback when its really not their fault. GOA has many big couriers now...Fed Ex, Blaze Flash, First Flight, DTDC (often prefer u to collect!), DHL. Please courier company add reviews for your state and help sellers choose the right courier for the buyers area....cheers
Hi havenindia, I use India Post only for both national and International shipments. For national I use Speed Post and for Internationl shipments I use Registered Airmail . It is cheapest of all and with very few (1%) delivery issues. I don't think India Post will ever agree for a pick-up courier company service. Regards,

Guys, Its not just in Goa... Aramex is very bad everywhere... I just visited one time and My God, I felt very bad after visiting it... (Chennai - Ekkaduthangal office) I had went to ship an Old mobile and a Brand new iPod... They tore my packages, dropped my mobile down. After 3 days, they had returned back saying its not possible to ship iPod to kolkata... they should have told me on day one... ARAMEX - a sick courier service!
Guys, I was expecting courier company to receive my delivery from Kolkata to Chennai. These ARAMEX guys delivered my item to someone in Pune !!!! Never..ever courier company use ARAMEX....pls pass on this to as many people as possible. Regards, Suresh
